Award reflects consistently high level of customer service
Olde Towne Plumbing LLC has earned the service industry coveted 2012 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor awarded annually to approximately 5 percent of all the companies rated on Angie’s List, the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service companies.
This is the 3rd year in a row that Olde Towne Plumbing LLC has won this prestigious award.
“It’s a select group of companies rated on Angie’s List that can claim the exemplary customer service record of being a Super Service Award winner,” said Angie’s founder Angie Hicks. “Our standards for the Super Service Award are quite high. The fact that Olde Towne Plumbing LLC earned this recognition speaks volumes about its dedication providing great service to its customers.”
Angie’s List Super Service Award 2012 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, including earning a minimum number of reports, an excellent rating from their customers and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines.
Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality. Members can find the 2012 Super Service Award logo next to the company names in search results on AngiesList.com.
Nothing is more aggravating than a clogged toilet with a house full of company.
1.6 gallons per flush but it takes 3 flushes to get it to go down. Sound familiar? So much for water conservation.
Here at Olde Towne Plumbing, we have done our own research t find the best flushing toilets. We have found two brands that we install with very little or no callbacks due to clogging problems, one is the Kohler brand and the other is the Toto, both are available locally and are moderately priced.
While we are on the subject of toilets, I would like to take a moment and offer a way to check for internal tank leaks to avoid costly water loss. Some hardware or plumbing supply stores offer dye tablets that you can purchase to be placed in the back of the toilet tank after which the tank is full and has stopped. Drop in the dye tab (or a couple of drops of food color from the cupboard) in the tank then watch the water in the bowl to see if changes start to appear in the color of the water.
If the water in the bowl starts change then you can bet that the flapper or flush valve mechanism is bad and will need to be replaced. Many toilets will require the use of original equipment repair parts to repair them properly.
The new state plumbing law became effective March 31, 2003.
Section 41 of the Act provides that master plumbers, journey plumbers, and apprentice plumbers are required to carry their license and a photo-identification.
When requested by an enforcing agency, an individual is required to present both the license or registration and photo-identification.
Contractors who have non-registered apprentices on individual job sites or work areas will be in violation of the Act and subject to penalties. Each apprentice on a job location must be supervised by a licensed plumber. So what does all this mean to the average consumer? Some contractors sit in offices and send out individuals to do code related work who are not licensed and poorly trained, and they charge you the rate of a licensed man. If the work is not done right it can cost you even more in the long run, by having to have the work done over to correct the mistakes. Make sure you are getting what you’re paying for. Ask the plumber at your door to show you his plumbing license and identification.
It is a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
And as licensed master plumbers we can do it better. With the latest technology in drain cleaning machinery, video camera See-Snake, and electronic underground sewer location equipment, coupled with our knowledge of design in the plumbing drain, waste, and vent systems we can not only unclog the stoppage, we can diagnose the problem, create a video tape of the condition of your sewer and help you to make an educated decision on how to repair or replace the problem area if necessary.
